Host City - Beijing

Beijing is an ancient capital with a history of more than 3,000 years. It is one of the four ancient capitals in China. In 2000 years since the Yan State, many palace buildings have been built, making Beijing the city with the largest number of imperial palaces, gardens, temples and Mausoleums in China. There are many folk customs with local characteristics: Beijing snack, Beijing opera, Beijing rhyme drum, cross talk, stage play, iron board fast book, cloisonne, tooth carving, hairy monkey, lacquer carving, scorpion race and scorpion cage, sugar blower, noodlers and so on.

Beijing is the eighth largest food city in the world, ranking first in the mainland. Beijing's delicious snacks have a long history, a wide range of varieties, exquisite materials and elaborate production. They are well-known. Beijing is also the world's largest city with seven World Heritage Sites and the world's first capital city with a World Geopark. Beijing has more than 200 tourist attractions open to the outside world, including the world's largest imperial Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Royal Garden Beihai Park, Summer Palace and Yuanmingyuan, as well as the Badaling Great Wall, Mutianyu Great Wall and the world's largest quadrangle Gongwangfu. There are 7309 cultural relics and historic sites in Beijing, including 99 National key cultural relics protection units (including the Beijing section of the Great Wall and the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal), 326 municipal cultural relics protection units, 5 national geological parks and 15 National Forest parks.
